Artist Statement

For me, using beautiful things in our daily life should be everyone's pleasure. Such items can also remind us of the impermanence of all things that surround us- with us on our journey and gone in an instant.

In my art it is the process that I connect with the most. I love to play with mud- perhaps I never grew up? The cold wet clay on my hands, cool leather-hard pots in the night and watching the soft flames lick at the glowing forms within the kiln. Creations in the making and sharing this journey together.

For me I want to learn about colour, explore the potential of fire and make that new favorite coffee cup.
