Artist CV
Professional Statement
I currently operate my own business Stamp Your Feet. A role that provides exciting and challenging work along with a stable income and the necessary degree of flexibility that enables me to get creative when the time is right.
My working life has provided me with broad knowledge, skills and experience in various industries, predominantly in ceramics and pottery. For the past ten years I have worked as a freelance professional potter and ceramic artist as well as being employed by Nob Creek Pottery, Byfield as workshop and gallery manager. My work has been exhibited in private collections and public area displays consistently for the past four years and my domestic ware range continues to be a top selling line in the gallery.
In 2010 I started Stamp Your Feet, producing ceramic artworks for the baby market, and more recently an art school facilitating workshops for both children and adults. As a practising ceramic artist and potter, I am aware of the need to promote the arts in our community. I enjoy working on collaborative community events and arts projects for which I have received various grants to facilitate. It has always been my goal to compliment and build on the creative arts culture in my region.
In 2008 I founded the community organisation Committed 2 Change with a vision to bring about positive change in the community. I developed, established and coordinated a three day music and arts festival that was held in Byfield on the Capricorn Coast in 2009. This event was reviewed as been a resounding success.
Beyond my experience as a potter I have travelled extensively throughout the world, and worked on various luxury yachts, and in many ski resorts within the hospitality industry
