Native Habitat
Renton lives together with his partner and fellow artist Clare Botfield in the small coastal hamlet called Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast. Both he and Clare create in many different mediums, and collaborate on some works. Their biggest collaborated project to date was building their house together which took most of 2012 to achieve and the best part of 2013 to recover from! Now that they have a comfortable place to call home they have once again turned their attention back onto their art.
Renton's new Mount Coolum studio has recently undergone renovations and improvements to create his ideal workspace and allow space for his side project Stamp Your Feet to expand. Over 2016 he hopes to use this new studio set up to expand and develop new glaze ranges and domestic ware lines, as well as start a pottery classes.
When not in his studio creating or at the markets with a stall, Renton spends his time surfing!
